So today at about 6pm Im upstairs syringing Baytril into Bella for her respy issues and boxing Ian up for the vets for denadding.
I notice the hammock at the back has blood stains on it old AND new. I had noticed a mark on bellas leg and thought it was that.
So I go upstairs to speak to the girls as I know Ians not up there and its unsettling me. and there's more fresh blood. So I check Bellas leg, not bleeding.
A bit of thought and I handle each rat and I realized Alpha had been sulking earlier under the lowest shelf. So I snagged Alpha, shes been bleeding from her lady bits.
I cleaned her up this caused a fresh gust of blood which was quite copious.
Cue tears, freaking out and cuddling Alpha and getting blood on my clothes (not minded) and trying to convince myself everything was ok.
I ring the vet and they advised me to give her baytril for now and get her into the vets asap in the morning.
Im scared of loosing Alpha shes my big old girl, but if it is the dreaded T word, I don't want her to suffer.
